Since now i have my stock alt sitting around. I was thinking bout doing a dual alt setup. But then i looked at the price of one and they r HELLA EXPENSIVE!!! Y???? Its just a piece of metal!! What makes it sooooooo special???? Any alternatives??

Hey guys I'm back! This was a long weekend and Great time to notice if it was me that was going crazy or if the Burban was actually the one that was dropping bass levels. The bass always drops down low. When I'm playing music have it at a volume the bass goes down and up. It goes really loud (where it's suppose to and then it drops low. And I look at my voltage and it looks fine. Idk if it's Soo fast my scanGauge won't catch it. But I'm starting to think that it could b my MaxxStart batt that doesn't want to hold the charge as well. Cuz it gets worse every time I use it. Even my mom noticed it and my friends. Could it b the batt thats dying? Or need that extra alt to charge everything up properly?? What do u guys thing??

Have the batt tested at a shop that can test it do not go to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. Secondly I would test voltage with a dmm with the system playing to see if it really falls off.

So get it tested at Walmart..?? And what's a dmm?? Where do I test the voltage? At the batt that's connected to the alt? Or the bass batt??

Dmm is the Digital Multimeter/volt meter. I'd say check both batteries just to see what each one falls to.

And I wouldn't recommend Walmart to test the battery either. It's gonna have to be a shop that can do a battery draw/load test on them. They can determine if your battery has a bad cell or if it's on the verge of taking a dump.

I thought you were being sarcastic but if you're serious no go to a place that does what haters said you need somewhere that does a draw/load test. that gave me a good laugh though.
