So my friend wired his own system and got lazy, not hiding wires or anything like that he just wanted it working, his amp is 5 inches away from his box but he used about 10ft of speaker wire from sub to amp. My question is: does having all that wire affect the bass? When he plays a song it seems like the bass hits late like it stalls, does having too much wire do that or is something hooked up wrong? or why wouldn't be stalling? System: Pioneer head unit 2 kicker cvr Alpine mrp-1000 amp All the help is greatly appreciated. No car at the moment. And the length of wire shouldn't cause the timing of the bass to be off either. Try switching the polarity on your subs and see if that helps. OR change the phase switch if you sub amp(s) have it. Thanks for the info it actually was the phase it was turned up 80% when I turned it down it wasn't lagging anymore No car at the moment.
