Amerrricuh
i live in a little city. if you want a wow factor or a reaction you want the 18". when i pop my trunk i always get a wow factor from everyone. they always say "ive never seen a sub that big before" because of their ignorance towards car audio. but 8 8"s on 3k rms would stun everyone. Berto
When I was in high school I had 2 12s. And if I could go back, I would get 2 12s again. Why? Cuz everyone has that. Why would I get what everyone has? Because when my 2 12s kick everyone else's 2 12s' ass it feels awesome. Red-navi-916
i would persdonally do two 12's in a car, so if people ever brag about how loud their 2 12's and a 10 are i will hear it and then shut em down with my 2 12's, but if u had an 18 people would be impressed by the size but also would be loud! now lets talk about what YOU want and not your friends at school or us on here BUILDLOG http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61862 "98crewcab"Never a POS....just always "a work in progress" lol that's how we roll bitches!!! acidikbass20
heres my 2cents. I had an 18" in high school, and yes, it was sweet. It's cool to show off and it does hold a certain visual punch that 12"s don't. But looking back, who cares what it looks like, let the sound do the talking. If you can fit an 18 and like it, go for it, but if you are trying to jam it in there, screw it, stick with that you can run correctly. Maybe meet in the middle, 15"! Stuff is goin down, upcoming build

94retta(219)
Well right now im also in 10th grade, im putting a 18in btl in my trunck, faceing forward, sealed off all that good stuff. Iv been workin on it slowly for the past month or so. Be ready to tear your car apart and cut it up. Its by far the koolest thing ever. Im a big fan of just one sub tho. Like everyone else is saying.. Its your system. No one elses. If your lookin to shut down other kids get a single bad ass tsns 12 or somethin like that and pooo all over them with one 12. They will have no excuses. BUILD LOG

hdorre
Maybe meet in the middle, 15"! A pair of 12s have more cone area and require about the same box size (on average). This isn't about what I or want though..its about what the op wants.
