Ford302Redneck
Hdorre, Oh. Right on then. Lol. I'm not 100% how a maxxlink works, as I've never messed with one. But I know its not the same as a 3sixty, or close for that matter.
ty_houston
I would go with the two smaller amps because of flexibility and warranty..I popped my aq20 in August and here it is March and I still don't have it back from AQ(DD). It's a strong amp..goes into protect at 15.3 volts...clamped almost 12k out of mine with box rise right above 1 ohm....My amp failed because of poor box design..top row of clamshell was causing the voice coils on my subs to get caught in the gap..sending dc current back to the amps and poof magic dust..its a strong amp with the right electrical, but if this is for a daily or ground pounding the two 3500's should suffice Quote supercharged hummer h2 8 Sundown nightshade v'2 Scott Bowman built 4th order bandpass 2 precision power pcx 4125(mids & hi's) 2 Stetsom 14k2e's alpine ina-w910 dual Mike Singer350 amp alt 8 kinetic 2400 batteries two shuriken bt 120 1 kinetic 2000 under the hood link to build log: My link
Sanitarium
One of our USACI competitors (Josh) did some testing with his AQ20K. He has 2 HDC310 Alum coils(10 spiders) on the amp. He is in Streetbeat 1. Results:161.3 Voltage=10.8 Clamped power=12,698 watts Final impedance with box rise=.9ohm Edited March 2, 2011 by Sanitarium

Alex K
Warhorse? More power than aq20, cheaper than 2 3500's. And AMI, I wouldn't bs so quick to judge. You can't really say for a fact you know that the AQ is more powerful when have not had your hands on a dc 3.5k. Edited March 2, 2011 by Alex K Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. dwright27
The aq3500d.1 does more power then the dc 3500 so I would expect the dc amp to be cheaper. And James we clamped 9k at 1.4 ohms on the pair at 10.5 volts lol lol why wouldnt it? the AQ board is 4200 watt board. Ford302Redneck
The HDC3 come with 8 spiders so 10 mmmeeehhh lol They must be super soft. Lol. I know 5 spiders is pretty common on SPLish type subs. But 10? Seems like a lot.

Ford302Redneck
I meant, to need 10, the spiders must be soft. But 10 together should be very damn stiff.
