Cashdollar2009 Posted March 6, 2011 Author Report Posted March 6, 2011 Why don't you have the port in the front then? ? The port is in the front? You mean middle? That would be because of wood displacement cutting down on my desired net volume... Quote On 6/30/2011 at 1:11 AM, 'Ray' said: Acoustical energy is free. Electrical energy is not.
fmedina Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Have the port in the front towards the side having 3 common port walls.. Quote
Cashdollar2009 Posted March 6, 2011 Author Report Posted March 6, 2011 Have the port in the front towards the side having 3 common port walls.. Are you looking at my picture dude? Sub AND Port are firing forward. My trim is blocking the top corner of my port. Which is the reason I made this thread. lolz If I were to just build the port in the middle or use less than 3 common port walls, the mdf displacement would take up too much net volume... OrionStang Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Flare the port and you will be fine. I really don't see that little corner covered up being that big an issue, but rounding the port exit on the side closest to the sub will help. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

TeamHT Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 I honestly would modify the rear deck so that the box fit perfect. I'm more of a metal fab guy anyway Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
fmedina Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Why not just hack away with a sawzall? True. Sawzall does saw all. Quote
