TRTC360
Yes DC does have a basket that they can order for it, but you don't want to pay the price they charge for it. So getting your own basket is a cheaper alternative. yeah I heard that custom basket was one of the most expensive things to the real lvl 6 sub, I couldn't find the thread but I did find the pictures i'm thinking about on google, here it is '93 Firebird Formula V8 H/U- Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X395 Mids/Highs Amp- Hifonics ZXI80.4 Wiring-KNU RCA's, Speaker Wire, And Two Runs Of Trystar 1/0 G34 Red Top and a 180amp Ford Alternator www.youtube.com/TRTC360
OrionStang
so does that mean they just send u a motor and the drop in recone for your lvl6 then? Send them the basket, Rusty or Rob will build it and send it back to me. And yes you can get the aluminum basket, but you don't want to know the price or wait time for it. Supercharged DCs
Basket is incredibly expensive, cost more by itself that many people's complete woofers lol. Tuned in for this sexy beast of a sub, I'm sure you'll make it crazy bro! Man, just thinking back, you've done upgraded amps so many times. I bought a DC2k from you back in March(or something like that) and you got a 3.5k then got rid of that for a 5k, and now a 7.5k... I give it a year until you are running with a 150k lol Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012. OrionStang
The 10's are gone and my lvl 6 is waiting for its basket. I did get a little something to play with in the meantime though. Should be here late next week. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Belindanan
Dims of your box? I have an 06 GT and my trunk opening is only 11" tall max. No way I could forward face anything other than an 8, hardly a 10. I was thinking of just doing a 15 face up, port side. The opening is 11.5" if you move the carpet and the trim piece at the top of the opening. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
OrionStang
I've come up with a tentative box design, for the lvl6. Following Ray's suggestion, I drew one up at 2.2 cubes after displacement, 37.5 inches of port per cube, tuned to 34. Using some good 13-ply birch for this one. I am actually going to cut some metal on the car to get this box in from the inside, always said I would never cut the car. I do have a WT3 on the way from Parts Express, so when the sub arrives, I can adjust the design, if need be, to the t/s specs of the sub.
