Sociology Red Light Help Please!

OK our assignment was "What do red lights mean in some other countries?" In the U.S. we identify the red light to signify STOP.

I have been googling for about 30min I cant find anything, all i am finding is stupid red light cameras. Can you guys please help me. I just need to find 1 site with information about it. No wikipidia, however the source site is good thank you all. I am not asking you to do any of my homework, i just need a site with the info.

Well while in the service in Germany we used to go visit the red light district which Amsterdam also has. It was the area to go when you wanted to spend some "time" with a lady.....

My dad was in the navy for 23 years and went to Amsterdam a couple of times and he said that the red light district was always a favorite spot to vist

not the answer i was looking for. that is the Red Light District. We were discussing how colors have different meanings in other cultures...thanks though

that is what i was going to suggest...try looking up the meaning of the color red, instead of red lights, u should get more hits on the one..
