n8ball2013
theres no way that will be louder facing backwards like that than a wall. It defies any and all logic. Torquemaster69
theres no way that will be louder facing backwards like that than a wall. It defies any and all logic. trust me, I feel more vibration, and feel it in my ears more faced that way. I tested both directions before I put those side panels on. I can't explain it either. My first thought was just as others stated "face subs forward". It didnt quite sound right, so I flipped it and it felt like it got louder. Besides, its not a true wall..lol Edited March 21, 2011 by Torquemaster69 Quote I'm not shy, I'm just hiding how awesome I am so I don't intimidate you. 4 DVC 15" Lanzar Heritage Subwoofers 2 Soundstorm Labs 2600.2 Amplifiers 2 Yellow Top Optima Batteries 1 8 Farad Soundstream Capacitor 12 Inch Motorized Flipdown Screen Black Suede Roofline
Guest
theres no way that will be louder facing backwards like that than a wall. It defies any and all logic. yeah. unless you mean its louder with the hatch open, which would lead me to assume that this is a show vehicle. if not, then it is extremely pointless to have it facing backwards as your daily driver (vehicle you drive everywhere and play music every day) but i have to admit, i had to laugh when you said "it defies any and all logic" because its true. edit: why couldnt you just make an actual wall? you have that tiny space for sound to come through, might as well utilize the space Edited March 21, 2011 by Kranny
IH8PunkRok
i guarantee that when you testedd the subs forward the wall wasnt sealed off from the back it makes a world of difference Quote -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
Torquemaster69
I'll try it again the other way and test again. And the gap is there for a reason. I used to get stopped so many times by cops about my speaker box and when I modified for the gap, they quit bothering me Quote I'm not shy, I'm just hiding how awesome I am so I don't intimidate you. 4 DVC 15" Lanzar Heritage Subwoofers 2 Soundstorm Labs 2600.2 Amplifiers 2 Yellow Top Optima Batteries 1 8 Farad Soundstream Capacitor 12 Inch Motorized Flipdown Screen Black Suede Roofline

Torquemaster69
How much port area per cube you got there? I can't remember the port measurements but the cubic foot is (Bottom set) 2.7 cubic feet (Top set) approximately 1.8 cubic feet. Guest
stay on the forum bro. you'll start to realize after a while why you shouldve done an actual wall facing forward instead of back and used a bigger port(s).
