Guest Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 ok I checked eBay for the refoam and it's 20 bucks I'm going to buy it. my other question is I'm going to wire it down to 3 ohms and my amp @ 2 ohms is 500, how many watts will I actually be sending to the sub. and would it be loud. ? no one can tell you how loud it will be. and your amp will output whatever number is between the 4 ohm and 2 ohm ratings on the amp.

Got a refoam kit from e-bay cheap also refoamed them with glue provided (make sure to put enough glue on) cause if not you will keep having to redo it. I wired them bad boys don't to 1.5 ohms and there slaming like new.... [/quote was it hard to install the refoam kit and whats the most watts one of this bad boys can handle?

I already told you I have been running 600+ each for 12 years, but if you send shit signal to it it won't live for long at 200 watts. Also unless you make your own box don't go trying to play chopped and screwed songs the sub will bite it with a quickness. Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
dirtracer27x Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 i have my og jl 12w6 hooked up to a soundstream rubi1.800 and its more than enough power,pretty impressed with that little amp.it was running off a rockford p300-1 and was not even close to enough power.i also plan on runnin one more in my boat if i can find one for cheap.i refoamed mine and its not to bad,just be careful cutting out old surround,i slipped and scratched my cone lol.
