Hey guys, so what do you think would be a better sub and amp combo?

Keep the type S 12 I have and match it to a kicker 300.1 amp.

OR

Keep the Alpine amp I have which makes 245rms and match it with a Sundown Audio E8v2 which is a 200rms sub. (that shouldnt be to much with a good tune right?)

What do you guys think? Cost will be basically within 10$ of each other.

My vote is to keep the 12 :)

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

the rockford mono p300 is a sick amp, that will push yur alpine hard. its a very underrated and a really cheap amp. You can get it for 150 maybe a little under. Look at onlinecarstereo.com

Pioneer 6300ub

Rockford Prime 6.5's

Pioneer 6x9's

Alpine MRP-M500

10" Alpine Type R

1.4 Cubic Foot Enclosure Tuned to 34 hz

Stinger 4 Gauge Wires

Get a nice cheap pioneer H/U I hear nothing but good things. A 8awg wire kit handled my alpine 500 watt no problem. And keep the 12" the sundown are great but I think the 12 would just be better.

Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi.

Audio: Two 10" Alpine Type R's ( 1000rms models )

Hifonics BRZ 2400.1D @ .5 ohm

Two Kinetic 1400 batteries ( soon to have XS power under hood )

Tsunami 1/0 Awg wire throughout truck.

Stock Infinity 7 speaker system ( Junk ) soon to be replaced, probably all Alpine.

Exterior: 17"Dick cepek rims with 33" Toyo MT tires

Bushwacker fender flares

Magnaflow true duel exhaust

LED tail lights with Projector headlights

Plasti-dip fun coming soon!

Thanks, thats and sonic electronix r usually my go to sites.

I found this head unit. Thoughts? 70$

All I do is either plug in my ipod, listen to the radio or play CD's.

I only need one set of pre amp outs for the mono amp. I'm gonna keep the speakers unamped.
