Dealing with a sinus cold the past few days which just makes me irritable then in the middle of watching Green Rush, on netflix through my xbox which is connected to my laptop, my laptop crashed again due to a bad sector. I guess I got the bad sector because I accidentally dropped it twice, so I just ordered a new one Western Digital hard drive tonight. Now I have to download a copy of Win7 off the net since I never made an image backup and it failed on me twice today trying to do one. I just hope nothing else happens because I can't take anymore!

don't even get me started on that! they are cracking down on us at my work so I can't dl anymore and I'm always working, there hasn't really been any good singles. April should be nice, I just hope my laptop is back working again by next week. Gotta finish up backing up some stuff tonight. These past 2 times it's crashed it couldn't find the HD, powering it off by holding the button then turning back on and it works like everything is gravy. Oh yeah, I just go this laptop Nov. 2009 :( but it has a Seagate hard drive, new WD drive has shock protection and crap and it should be a lot better. Not to mention my XBOX Live runs through my laptop so no Live for me :(

P.S. has anybody ever changed a HD on a laptop? From what I read it shouldn't be that hard.

Yea it's not hard at all, mine has like 3 screws holding in place and once they are out it just slides right out.

How do you run your xbox live through your laptop?

Ethernet from xbox into laptop, then the wifi from that connects to my house router. Bridged the connections. I found a tutorial on YT.

I really wish I had made an image back up long ago but I had no idea this is what you go through when your HD fails

Nope, super easy. Cheaper than getting the wireless adapter.

Changing the HD is easy...usually just a few screws. And depending on what brand your laptop is, you should be able to download the factory image off of the internet and burn it to disc.
