The brackets are mounted in the door jam of the hatchback. Then the bracket wrap around the door, and to the outside of the glass. And around to the inside of the spoiler...I know there is one bolt missing, and this is alot of my rattle issues. Which is why it's possibly coming off.

Nightshade Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 It's cool whatever you decide to do. It's just nice to see someone with the same type of car in the same general part of the country as me. It just so happens that there aren't that many people around that have a Focus hatch with a loud system in it. I'd still love to help you at all if you do have any questions. I can tell you that stopping the hatch, hatch trim panels, quarter panel trim pieces, license plate, and rear wiper from rattling are something that I have not been able to conquere at all. I have the car deadend but still tons of rattle that I can hear listening up front at certain freq's. Have you had any luck with stopping any of the noise in the car? None at all man...which I haven't really tried. I took out all the panels in the hatch, and put down a layer of peal and seal...then put down some of that truck bed liner on top of it. It's help slightly, but not much. My biggest thing is gonna be getting that spoiler secure. I've even debated removing it, but i'm not sure yet. I hear you on the spoiler thing. I have the stock one still in place on my ZX3 and the thing has started to crack in a couple of different places as well as having quite a bit of the paint knocked off of it. I can only imagine how much pressure is building up there where the spoiler mounts at in the rear. By the shape of the car I'd guess that is the most stressed point in the vehicle since all the pressure has to redirect it's self at that particular part of the car to get to the front of the vehicle. If you ever want to meet up sometime just let me know when and where. Its been a years since i look at the saleen focus 1997 crown vic police interceptor headunit: avic x710bt sub amp: powerbass xta 1500d sub: fi 15" bl fully loaded enclosure: 3.5 cubes @ 33hz firing through rear deck mids/highs: crappy pioneer paper cone 6x9's and stock rears for now mid/high amp:h/u power FTL wiring: knuconceptz 1/0 memphis interterconnects

Its been a years since i look at the saleen focus Different motor than the SVT. SVT was Zetec Based. The Saleen Focus had a Duratec Block (i want to say 2.3L)with Nitrous Added and a few minor engine change ups and obviously the bodykit and leather interior.

Lets face it, its just a duratec block with some minor engine upgrades. Not really made to handle a 75shot.
