fecupe2001 Posted May 8, 2011 Report Share Posted May 8, 2011 Hey Preston, i saw singer´s comment on facebook about taking out the roundovers, i do have a question, you said at the beggining that this BP has a 3:1 ratio, is that atter displacement (roundovers) or before? i´m asking your this because , if it´s a 3:1 ratio including the roundovers and you take them out, that 4th order is gonna get way to peaky doesn´t it?? on the other hand, if it was 3:1 ratio before the roundovers displacement then i do agree, should get you louder with a smaller bandwith than you already have I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. mr.p Posted May 8, 2011 Report Share Posted May 8, 2011 Lots of technical questions and the honest answer is...regardless what the paperwork says, i will just cut them out and see what happens cut the port on the baffle out, and use 2x4's maybe a pvc roundover...The 12" looks cool but it is taking up Excess volume. The bigger i get the ported side, the louder it will be regardless, i just dropped my peak to 37hz if i can bring it back up to 50hz when i increase the size of the ported chamber i might get the numbers i want. Also, i think i need to clamp power now, i might not be getting as much as i think. Plus, i keep getting told to shrink my sealed side..That will obviously lower my rise...I think im going to remove the stuffing, AND use some gasket material around the subs i think i have a small leak on one, and that might be wreaking havoc...
