Equipment list: 4 TSNS 18s (Ground Pounder version) 1? Soundigital 16k 2 XS Power S3400s 8 XS Power D3100s XS Power VCM 12 runs of 1/0 4 (maybe more ) white 240 amp alternators (150+ idle) 3 6.5 component sets (T3?) ? 4 channel amp(s) Right now I'm short a few d3100s and 3 of the subs. I figured I'd run 1 sub to test how much power it can take in different enclosures. After some testing I'll decide on 1 or 2 16kw amps, and enclosure. It will be 22ft or less and a box in the back - no wall. No point in ordering the other subs until I see how much power I'm giving them so I can order d1 or d2 first go around. Anyway I'll get on with pics: The one sub I'm using for testing: 102 lb ship weight The sub has direct 8g leads, using Raptor wire. The Raptor is on the left, some scrap "Amp King" stuff I've had for years and got for free on the right. The test box is 5ft net, ~36Hz with 70sq of port kerfed and sub countersunk. tejcurrent Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 1, 2011 I have 8 runs of 1/0, I'm adding 4 more I did a sketch up first, then the new busbars: I considered copper, but like the look of the aluminum better. 27 1/0 inputs on each bar, + 27 small blocks so I can fuse directly off the bar without fuse holders. tejcurrent Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 1, 2011 Almost forgot a few vids, I ran the sub off an American Bass 1000.1 @ 4 ohms- 5kw for a few days. I only had 1 alt in so it was turned down to keep 13.5+ volts. Then I sold that amp to buy the Soundigital and ran the sub off 2 channels of an Eclipse EA4000, basically 150 watts RMS. I know 150 watts isn't impressive- but considering I've had numerous people with 1-2000 watt setups admit this was louder with 1/10th the power it got me by till the new amp came in. tejcurrent XS Power T3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
