EdgarG0721
Ok so I have a Rockford T4000 bd on the spec sheet it says 4300 or something like that at 14.4 volts. So m question is after setting my amp gains to no clipping do u still get the 4300 watts or no ? Does it depend on the amps ? Help plz
Rebel4055
You have a LOT of variables to get that wattage all the time. Quote Rest In Peace mother. hdorre
You won't ever see 4000 watts, let alone 4300watts 99.8+% of the time. EdgarG0721
Well is it close to that like I guess my question is after setting the gains do u get aroun the same power not exact just guesses
hdorre
Youll possibly get 50watts total at some frequencies. You need to test in order to find out. chapo123
yep after voltage drop, impedence rise. resistance, lots of variables.. 08tahoe
Wouldn't he have to stay at 14.4 volts or higher all the time and not drop volts at all to stay as close to that wattage?
hdorre
Wouldn't he have to stay at 14.4 volts or higher all the time and not drop volts at all to stay as close to that wattage? MANY more things affect output wattage than voltage. skittlesRgood
Wouldn't he have to stay at 14.4 volts or higher all the time and not drop volts at all to stay as close to that wattage? even then it wouldnt matter. your lowest impedance will be at least 4ohm. then itll have spikes above 10ohm. plus music is dynamic. so the best power you will likely get is 2000w. its not a trick or a rip off, thats just how audio works. as long as you are not clipping, your subs should be fine.
