dyeagain15
That heater core by flag time is like a 9 hour job. But props for having the balls to do it yourself at home. Im too lazy GET TO WORK! Holy hell I believe it.. I honestly got scared the other day because my lights stopped working, my speakers started popping, check engine light came on, and my driver door controls stopped working. I thought I REALLY screwed something up. I checked some fuses to check the lights and it was blown. So I threw a new one in there and it fixed all my problems. Yea mine went out for the second time last july or so after having it fixed for like 6 months on a very very hot day, and steam and that lovely coolant smell was coming out of my vents so I couldnt use my A/C. Lets just say the shop that did it the first time got an ass chewing for trying to pull a fast one. I replaced the housing that has all the valves and actuators on it. But yeah, you'd end up pulling it to get to the core anyways lol. It was definitely a pain. I had to relocate it to the new one after pulling the old housing out. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Neo_frog
Small updates. Tried a couple things, changed a couple plans, etc... So you remember that screen? I started the molding today. I had a hard time keeping the bottom half on during the process, so I went a different route with it. I went ahead and molded the top piece, and I'm going to dress them up to keep them separate. I can't seem to figure out how to maintain the alignment, mold them together, and withstand the force of being pulled out of the tabs... Had a little fun and painted the rim covers. Lulz were had while doing this. Doesn't look too bad from a distance. This pic looks a little ghey though. Might as well roll with it for a few days. Got my second alt today. Waiting on the brackets. I also went a different route with the passenger door. The driver door took some serious abuse, and I found out my wrapping wasn't..optimal. So I'm attempting a wrap in gray vinyl, leaving the other pieces stock and ditching the suede idea. I love suede, but I want to see how this turns out first. at least I'm getting wrapping experience lol. This is mid wrap! I know it looks like crap, but it's not done. I had some issues with the other door losing adhesion after some vibration, so I'm letting glue set with a double tacky coat. We'll see how it goes. Need an install? THEKINGsBACK
any progress on this sir? he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
Neo_frog
ehhh.....not a terrible amount. Here's a few nifty things though.. Not sure if I posted my first welding job ever, but here it is. It was damn strong, but my measurements were thrown off by my beads and my welds were fugly. So I recruited my buddy at work and we did some work. Learned a lot and came out with a much better product. Also picked up the Carputer from Torres. It's mostly assembled and modified a bit for my own plans. Need an install? Neo_frog
Other than that, I'm having some serious issues with wrapping these doors. I've wrapped and rewrapped about five times. Hundreds in vinyl/fabric/glue later, I'm getting discouraged and I'm ready to send them to someone to get finished for me. Any takers? Need an install? The guy used a heat gun, which was a surprise to me. It does seem tricky, I'll probably take mine to him, when the time comes. Good luck man, can't wait to see it finished!
