Dcsoundlabs26 Posted April 2, 2011 Report Share Posted April 2, 2011 I got one dc xl 15 down to 2 ohms on an ia40.1, gettin about 1800 rms clamped, and i just dropped this sub in yesterday. Everything is set, gains, eq, etc. Why do i smell something similar to my coil burning up? The smell fills my cabin in my jeep and its pretty bad. Am i doing something wrong? But then again i hear alot about dc coil smell so idk. Play for over two solid hours and I could stick my nose in the port and not smell a thing. Probably just glue since its new.
