jizazz12
I am getting ready to upgrade my subs, currently i'm running two LVL 4 15's with LVL 5 .7 coils on a Crescendo 3kwp . My question is my current box is rite at 6.0 cubes would the XL's be a direct swap for the LVL 4's or am i looking at building a new box? I know the XL's are going to have more displacement due to the size of the motor just not sure how big of a difference i'm looking at. dwright27
I would've done 3.5 - 4 cubes. That power on the XLs is nice though Quote 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. jizazz12
I know my previous box was 7 cubes but i had a little more room to work with, the LVL 4's sound nice but i'm slowly upgrading and subs are next. Was just wondering if i could get away with the box i have. jizazz12
Yeah was just looking at the specs over on the DC website, toying around with the idea of maby building another box, was trying to stay away from doing that if i could but thinking it over now . I could get a few more cubes of box space if i relocate my amps just not sure ware to relocate them to lol. CJ18
I wouldnt waste the money on a new box yet. Get the subs and try them in your current box first and if you arent happy then build another box.

X2. the box is (IMO anyway) the most important part of any setup & rebuilding it is cheaper than buying subs/amps .
