xBIG-MIKEx
I finally bought a new amp to replace my old sony xplod. The xplod didn't have many settings to work with, but the new one has a few different ones. I was wondering if there is a general "rule of thumb" as of how to set the knobs The amp: Lanzar MXA 282 (2 channel amp) Settings: Level (min-max) High Pass (80hz - 2.5k) Low Pass ( 35hz - 400) Bass Boost (0 - +18db) Phase (0 - 180) Any advice would be greatly appreciated
matt14
Is this being used as a sub amp or are you power some door speakers with it? Supercharged DCs
Also, set your gain knob with an oscope to make sure your not sending clipped signals to your subwoofers. Quote Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012. xBIG-MIKEx
cool, thanks. I have noticed something thats odd though. Now whenever i play it loud, with certain songs, the subs hit notes that almost sound like they are making the speakers hum / buzz. Not sure if that's normal or not. I currently have two 12s wired at 2ohms connected to one channel, and a 13" at 4ohms connected to the other channel (dunno if thats bad for amp, having two different impedences)
