Jeremy1998
That is my idea for a box for a Fi Q 12. The triangles are 4 X 4, so they have an area of 8 sq in each, for a total of 16 inches of port. The problem is that when I calculated the port lenth for tuning to 32 hz, it is like a few feet long. This box will be about 1 foot wide and deep, and 1 1/2 feet tall. Is there any way to make this port, or do I have to scrap the idea? lifted_silverado
Why not do a slot port? You wouldnt have to go as long if you went wider and taller. Also i dont think those triangle ports are gonna sound good at all. I wouldnt use that idea imo Edited April 14, 2011 by Liftedsilverado Quote Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. They are supposed to have 12 - 16 in of port fer sq. ft. The port I listed would add up to almost exactally 13; more specifically 12 4/5. bcpballer64
Do a kerfed port, it will sound grr-eat and it is sexy Quote "The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -- (Thomas Jefferson)

blownengine
That seems really tricky and the width at the corner would be far form constant. Jeremy1998
Do a kerfed port, it will sound grr-eat and it is sexy That is a good idea. bend the port... I could do that, but the port is long. It is somewhere between 2 and 3 feet. So there would be like 3 bends.
