MACnonsence6 Posted April 14, 2011 Report Share Posted April 14, 2011 just ordered an ap1800 and one of the 2 recones for me re se 12s so im in a pretty good mood now just a few questions does anyone know what kinda waiting period i should expect for the recone. and what kinda glue should i use that can be found at walmart or lowes. also ive seen people use cardboard from a beer box as a shim would u guys say that ok? im looking for stuff i can use with out having to buy more stuff im almost broke now lol Quote I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. skittlesRgood Posted April 14, 2011 Report Share Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) that thin cardboard is all i have ever seen used, except for at DCsoundlabs. use CA glue. you can find it at any hobby store. and go to harbor freight and get yourself 2 tubes of little clamps. they are only $5, maybe less, each. this is what it looks like when I recone. the tube they come in is on the left sub.
