I've bought three of these Pioneer shallow mount 10" 2ohm subs and I have a Rockford Fosgate 1500-1bdCP amp with a birthsheet of 1853w rms. I was wondering HOW I should wire these subs to this amp, since the subs Only have 1 Pos+ terminal, and 1 Neg- terminal. Any help would be appreciated Thanks! TheyDontWantMusic Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 you've only got two choices. All subs in parallel or all in series. Series will mean low power, while parallel will mean you're running below the amps minimum impedance.

So since I am pushing over double the RMS rating to these subs with this amp, I could just wire in Series and not really lose any power. Right?

MACnonsence6 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 you cant wire subs in series and then parallel or vise versa? I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
