bdubii
you can always add a couple of thread rods and brace the box better without taking away a lot of internal space, just saying The only thing I don't like about using all-thread for bracing is how it will stick out of the box. But idk, I might figure out a way to do something with that and still be able to cover up the bolts. notorious97200
Use pieces of wood for internal bracing. It works, and it's cheap ! black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
uhoh_45
Use pieces of wood for internal bracing. It works, and it's cheap ! it also takes up more space and adds weight to the wall assuming your school has a welding program just make up some threaded rod and a mounting plate just weld a nut to a piece of flat square and then drill 4 holes like the pic and mount from inside the box R.I.P! I can mig weld so that is defiantly an option. More strength+less loss of vb+still looking clean=major win! uhoh_45
then your laughing if you have access to a mig best way to do it would be get your rod cut it to the inner dimensions of wall get your flat bar drill 4 holes for corners weld a nut in the middle thread the rod into both plates then slap into the wall and mount from inside using screws being able to weld/having access to welder has made working on car/audio sooo much easier and build looks good keep it up and one day hopefully you have better gear haha R.I.P! I'm back from school now so I actually don't have access to my own mig anywhere too close. I'm going to do the body work on the port and paint it, put blue leds inside the box, fiberglass all the inside corners and take out the old bracing and make some metal ones like this one day soon I hope. After I get those goals done I will buy better gear lol My build, four 15's walled: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/106855-07-tacoma-walled-off-with-4-15s/page__p__1487297#entry1487297
