carlosg_313
So now you are my rival. LOL I got a 02 xterra and having almost the same equipment(lvl 5s and crescendo bc3500 with xs power batteries) looking good so far. Question, how much of a pain was it to fiber glass the front doors? Thinking about doing it when the Rockford fosgate super tweeters comes out(IF). How do the Japanese feel about bass? You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN. They said it makes your junk shrink all up. lol.im pretty sure the op wont even notice if it gets even smaller. xterraboy03
Whats the box specs? 2.25 sealed and 4.5 ported area, tuned @ 41hz, it likes the lows, I tried to make a regular ported box, but with trying to tune super low, i could not get as low as I wanted. T-money came up with the idea to put in a 4th order to achieve the lows but still sound good on chopped and screwed music as well as DECAF music. We hit our goal, it hits the lows the only bad thing is that I will have to tear the box down a little to get my XL back out! 03' NISSAN XTERRA (1) AQ3500d (1) AQ4x90 (1) Audio Control Line Driver (4) DC LVL 4 15's Cresendo Mids and Highs 100' of 0/guage Big Three Mechman 270a Charging @ 16.5v (6) XS D1400's Highest Termlab Score 149.9 at the kick & 166.1 in the Port/ on stock electrical and 1 DC XL M1 Updated JUNE 2012*****MY BUILD LOG USACI REGION 6 POINTS LEADER 2011 USACI KANSAS RECORD HOLDER 2011 Team DC http://www.dcsoundlab.com/

xterraboy03
So now you are my rival. LOL I got a 02 xterra and having almost the same equipment(lvl 5s and crescendo bc3500 with xs power batteries) looking good so far. Question, how much of a pain was it to fiber glass the front doors? Thinking about doing it when the Rockford fosgate super tweeters comes out(IF). Well hello Mr. Rival, Really fiberglassing the front door panels were not bad, i did the rears as well. Just make sure soak them, and them soak them again. When I went to the body filler stage recently on my front door panels I found some soft spot were I did not have enough resin. Then I had to dremel that area out and re-resin from the back and front. But after using a short strand fiberglass body filler even if it does flex a little it will not crack out, like cheap walmart bondo. The end product is well worth the time invested in my opinon, I orginally started with Kappa Perfects, I am now going to purchase some of AQ's PRO Audio 6.5's and tweets. On my back door panels I put the tweets in the door and have already molded them so now I will have to make room for the Pro Audio tweets when they show up. So a little step back but it will be well worth the investment. What is the loudest you have metered? Have you metered your system? 03' NISSAN XTERRA (1) AQ3500d (1) AQ4x90 (1) Audio Control Line Driver (4) DC LVL 4 15's Cresendo Mids and Highs 100' of 0/guage Big Three Mechman 270a Charging @ 16.5v (6) XS D1400's Highest Termlab Score 149.9 at the kick & 166.1 in the Port/ on stock electrical and 1 DC XL M1 Updated JUNE 2012*****MY BUILD LOG USACI REGION 6 POINTS LEADER 2011 USACI KANSAS RECORD HOLDER 2011 Team DC http://www.dcsoundlab.com/

xterraboy03
Coming together good! But here a question, is that just a plain ol dc xl 15? And how does it handle the aq3500? Handles the power just fine. I am running 16v so I am probably pushing near 5300w or more to the sub. This is my daily vehicle and I am always playing it full tilt. I don't think I am the only one running a XL on 5K daily. I had seen other guys on the forum doing the same thing! XL's are beast! And AQ3500's are beast with the more power you feed them! 03' NISSAN XTERRA (1) AQ3500d (1) AQ4x90 (1) Audio Control Line Driver (4) DC LVL 4 15's Cresendo Mids and Highs 100' of 0/guage Big Three Mechman 270a Charging @ 16.5v (6) XS D1400's Highest Termlab Score 149.9 at the kick & 166.1 in the Port/ on stock electrical and 1 DC XL M1 Updated JUNE 2012*****MY BUILD LOG USACI REGION 6 POINTS LEADER 2011 USACI KANSAS RECORD HOLDER 2011 Team DC http://www.dcsoundlab.com/
