Forevrbumpn Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 a bandpass is a hp/lp built in to one filter a cross over + crossover in series, its a different effect If you have a 6db hp and another 6db hp depending on crossover points you could accidentally create a 12db hp or a notch filter. Basically its not what you think it is I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

mrd6 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 the crossover point won't change it will just change the slope. when in series you can basically think of the first crossover affecting the signal from the amp and the second crossover affecting that signal. So you have your original signal highpassed at 70hz, then that signal again highpassed at 70hz. So same crossover point just double the attenuation slope. If you change the crossover frequency of one of them then again you just have to imagine that the first attenuation occurs at one frequency and then the second at the other. Hope that helps!
