Kasey Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Damn, Nothing like stuffing 10lbs of shit into a 5lb bag. Good work looks very clean with attention to detail. "Audio is not a hobby it's a lifestyle" _____________________________Refs_1_Refs_2_____________________________

bigp_on_the_beat Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Sick build that soundstream is gonna tear your car apart lol. Can't wait for the extra electrical that would be even more damaging! No car at the moment. New system: 2 Skar Audio VVX-12s Crescendo bc2000d Carquest NGT battery (back) Deka battery (front)
KyleDykstra Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 Thanks guys! This is build to compete in the Xtreme Trunk class in MWSPL. The class is a 30 second average on music with the mic 12" outside the passenger window. Middle of the window even with the window seal on the door. Been fun so far. First show pulled a 134.8 and that was with the stock alternator.
94retta(219) Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Kool kool. I like it. Hook it up with those 2200s! Lol BUILD LOG
n8ball2013 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Is this a 2.2 engine or a 2.4 you are going to have a few issues with duals. No engine power out of a 2.2 if you can even get them fabbed up. If you drop a/c its not a big deal really. But if its a 2.4 it'd going to be tough. Why two ea and not one higher end alt? THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.

This is the 2.2. The ac compressor is coming out and the second alt is replacing the compressor. As far as no power...it is a 2.2 Cavalier...I don't race it! Has plenty of power for what I do with the car, which is drive it to work and competition. Reason for 2 alts vs a higher power one...price. Looked into getting a higher output alt built and the price gets ridiculous! I could install 3 of 4 of the 250amps for the price of a single 400 amp for the Cavy!
n8ball2013 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Ok I happen to have experience with thy engine and under heavy alt load it may cause your car to stall. Also the reason ea is cheap ia because they aren't very good THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
