TeamHT Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 :facepalm: at who told you that. what do you mean turn it up? do you mean...the gain? there are many reasons why an amp would go into protect...and that is to protect the amplifier. in regards to your question what is your electrical like? you can guarantee youre going to want to upgrade from stock for the power youre looking for. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

TeamHT Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 bass knob? you can not turn an amplifier up, it does not work that way. and gains must be set correctly to avoid clipping resulting in the malfunction of your equipment. if gains are set correctly, the bass knob can only be turned to match the max the gain is set to on the amp. i think someone who does not understand the equipment is giving you some bad information. you can take a look at crescendo, or possibly a kicker 2500.1 Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
