Robot underground?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I'm doing a build with two 12" subs, i will most likely have about 1000w rms total to give. I was originally going to buy (well technically I did... Long story) 2 alpine type r's, but now I found the robot underground subs (RU) online and I was wondering if anyone could give me some input or advice on what to do. The RUs say 850rms, the type r's are about 500-600 as we all know. I would be wiring at 1 ohm most likely

I guess my only concern is that they are 850rms a piece, would underpowering them at 500w a piece do them much damage or distort them too much?

^^^it says 350w rms minimum, so you should be fine.

It is impossible to blow a sub by underpowering it if you have a clean signal.

I almost got a pair of subs from that guy but after some searching around online I found some issues with the subs he builds so I passed. Hit google and search the company, most likely you won't be happy with what you find out. Just my 02, I didn't buy from him.
