Supercharged DCs
Quick question, what was your previous subwoofer that you've blown? How are your gains? Bass Boost on? Quote Bassless once again. Supercharged DCs
Before you invest some money into a good system, you need to learn how to take care of it. Use an oscope to set gains to make sure you aren't clipping the subwoofers. Quote Bassless once again. joemon
These amps seem to be rly good and push quite of bit of power but I kno to get louder I need a bigger box Ya I take care of my system I spend too much on them not to care for it. But u r rite I do need a oscope. I just try to do it by ear to listen for distortion on the speakers wen volume is up Quote stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/105505-silvia-first-time-build-kenwood/

old dude
Also to!!!!!!!!! R these subs able to b in a sealed box????!!!????? And not get too hot? Subs really should not get hot in any kind of box. If they are getting hot you have something set wrong or you have way to much power going to them but it is usually the first one.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_extra/post_icons/icon1.gif Quote mobile chornobyl
CJ18
A bigger box doesnt necessarily mean louder. The Level 4 12s are going to want about 1.5ft3 after sub and port displacements with 15-17in2 of port per ft3. I dont know much about your amps but if possible I would strap them together to make gain setting easier and allow you to run one bass knob. The Level 4s will work fine in a sealed box. For 12s you are going to want 1-1.25ft3 per sub sealed.
