lombo352
So my single cab, single kicker L7 15" bangs really loud in my sealed box behind the passenger seat....i want MOARRRRR....so i was thinking of putting a box in my bed but i see people cut holes into the cab (why do they do that) and how would it sound if you didnt? tonedeaf
You wouldn't get any bass into the cab without cutting the hole. The hole normally acts as the port for the sound to enter into the cab from a fourth order for example. So chop the truck, or be very limited with your sound. IMO anyone with a reg cab truck who doesn't do a blowthrough = pussy.
Azagtoth502
Agreed.....single cabs or limited room trucks a blowthrough is the only way to make it REALLY slam. tweak209cali
This is the box from the outside...to protect it from the rain i bought some herculiner bed liner kit for around 80 bucks and bedlined my whole truck first then the box. Make sure u make the box fit snug under the railing of the bed it will prevent water from leaking in and you can seal it from the inside out....i had to force my box in by kicking it from the back haha This is how it looks like from the inside..the box is 15 inches deep but i recessed the face 2.75 inchs so that i can seal the box from the inside with silicone. the port tuned to 32 hertz i was short on cash so to seal the bed to the cab i bought some marine vinyl and pinch weld then i used some abs cement and put a thick coaton it,but i suggest buying something called Accordion boot.it is made specifically for this type of thing just google "accordion boot" and there is website that sells it by the foot.
