BassJunkie
Ok...update...I was trying to charge it earlier still, and when I touched the negative of the charger on a good batteries negative terminal the amperage on the charger would actually rise and start charging. So I started messing around with the kinetik and I rolled it on its side and it sounds like something inside is rolling around, and there is a small crack under the screw on terminals so I'm thinking maybe the negative side of the battery is disconnected and broken internally. After watching xs powers vids of an open kinetik I think its quite possible this has happened by the way it looked like some batts were designed. WILD IDEA..hear me out. Could I discharge the battery completely using a clamp light or some sort of battery discharging device and make it safe enough to open this case to repair the battery? Is there anyone who could repair the ground on this thing? Quote 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free. audioanonymous
I wouldn't even bother. I'd chalk it up as a loss and try to get my money back. Lesson learned. NEVER buy used batteries! NEVER buy used batteries! x2, not worth it to open it up and run the risk of being zapped to shit, and the likely hood of actually being able to fix it, eh. Look into some deka 9a31s if your on a budget, or xs power if you can afford it.
