Honestly you should run a fuse even though its that short of a run. Fuses are made so if you start to draw a ton of current it will stop the flow of current before the wire gets overheated and melts or creates a fire. I fuse all my positive wires except for my alternator (just want as much power as i can get) but everything else is fused. Also very good job fusing both sides of the wire going between the batteries. I just recently hand my alt wire ground out by landing on the exhaust header. It fell when i was adding stuff and didnt realize i didnt catch it with a zip tie. I was driving and sure as shit after about 5 min "pop" my added fuse and the factory blew. Even if the factory fuse blew, the alt wire (big 3) would have still had current going through it until something burned up. So its cheaper to replace 1 factory, and 1 after market fuse (20$) than to replace my Lex or any car for that matter.. Rebuild Log with the SMD CURRENT..
