blownengine
I have the CDA-105. I have never scoped mine but i have always heard Alpines clipped around 25. Despite those warning I still run mine past that........ Haven't blown up any gear yet and its been like 6 months. Though I WOULD NOT recommend doing. Though I WOULD NOT recommend doing. sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm looking at putting in a clarion EQ746 this weekend and this thread came up in my search of where a 9887 clips.... to the ears- clean all the way up to 28-30, and after that it doesn't get any louder at all. but my ears are not scopes either. I have a hard time believing that the 9887 and the 195 clip at almost the same points....does anyone else have info on this? Maybe it was just a bad HU....ive been known to keep my shit at 30-35 and my 4ch alpine hasn't complained once. Nikitaaa
My Alpine CDA-105 o-scoped a soft clip at 30 and a hard clip at 31. I also have a buddy with the headunit and his doesn't distort until 32. That's through the RCA outputs ofcourse.
