duct_tape123 Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 your looking for the accesory wire. (yellow or orange i think, for factory) connects to red on the head. might need a multimeter to find out. remote wire goes to amplifier to turn it on, not to turn radio on.
EricR Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 yes i know....ive just always called it the remote wire. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
ChevyBoy Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 red is going to go to red, and yellow to yellow. that orange wire is usually an illumination wire which usually isnt used. the remote wire is for the amp. it sounds like youre looking for the red (ignition) wire.
