Stee-Z
I have read up on some posts about breaking in a subwoofer. Some say its true, some say its false. So the question is do I really need to break in my 15" Orion HCCA, or can I start bumpin right away? MrSkippyJ
There a few subs that need to be broken in, most subs don't need a break in period. JWBryant
Is there a certain spec or something that will tell you if you do or not? Quote Basshead-in-Training
dohckiller808
after reconing i typically do a break in process just to test the glue is holding properly. to me breaking in is just the time that it takes to loosen the suspension. i typically give it hell out of the box. kirill007
no subs need to be broken in. Just start bumpin, if it breaks its because its user error. A sub handles its rms from day 1. I could have sworn there was a couple subs that the manufacturer said had to be broken in. I have seen it to where the manufacturers have a break in time posted on their page, so this is what baffles me Quote (4)DD 9918's (2)DC 10k 8 6.5" focals 2 DD SS4 mid amps Audison Bit One processor Jl-cl-rlc line driver iPad in dash Dual Irragi 320a alts 8 batcaps 4000's Second Skin sound deadened
