i just ordered a pair of the new Type-R's (600rms each), and i'm trying to upgrade from my T500-1bdCP. The T500 puts out 800rms (which im just gonna keep it around to break in the alpines), but im trying to find something for when i wanna move air.

I'm runnin a stock batt, stock alt, with the big 3 upgrade, so i'm not trying to do any more than 1500rms. I will be running at 1ohm. Prefferably in the $200-$300 range.

my friend wants to sell me his American Bass 80.1. It supposed to do 1000rms @ 1 ohm (i think) but i dont know whether these amps are underrated or overrated. It was really loud in his SUV. does anyone have some info on these?

Im also looking at the Hifonics BRZ1700.1d. The specs say that it requires 2guage wire, when my car is run with 4guage. can i get away with using the 4gauge? i expect this amp is a little bit overrated, but does anyone really know?

Edit: and having an amp to "move some air" with 2 type r 12's better have a big ass fan on it.

No need to be an asshole. I doubt you will get much help after that post. Do like everyone else and google it and find something on ebay if you dont want suggestions. I just happen to have a brand new amp that fits what you need and is in your price range. Sorry for the inconvenience.
