Need a 4 channel amp

Hey guys im looking to purchase a 4 channel amp, i would prefer to buy a brand new one unless i find a used one that is basically flawless performance and cosmetic wise. Right now i have some HAT imagine 6.5, but may change to something else or may glass my doors and another pair up front.

I was looking at the jl HD 600/4, i know its JL and overpriced but my buddy can get it for me pretty cheap close to dealer cost thats the only reason i was thinking that, i think its 175x4?

I have a sundown saz-2500 so i do like sundown but dont wanna spend the money on a 200.4 but want a little more power then the 100.4 has. Maybe looking at DC 175.4?

Not really sure as i have a bunch of different ideas in my head, the JL is promising too cause its small, i think? and could fit under my seat (doing a blow through in my truck) and not much space for amps?

So any ideas or suggestions?

Are you only looking to run 4 speakers off it?

I'm in the same situation except im trying to run 8 speakers. Right now I have each set of 4 (right and left) wired to 2 ohms and running off a 2 channels from a 4 channel amp. They are grossly underpowered and its killing me inside to know that I could be giving them at least double what theyre getting.

The problem is, do I get a 4 channel or a 2 channel full range. That seems to be where your at 2. If you spend a ton of money on a beastly 4 channel and then only need 2 channels, youve wasted space and money.

I was personally looking into mb quart amps and soundstream 2 channels. they have a 2.600 that does 300 Watts per channel at 2 ohms. And id bet it does do rated, I've installed soundstream amps before and they really crank out the power.

what you might do is just run a little 4 channel to see how it all sounds at first. get yourself situated before throwing any kind of serious wattage at your speakers. thats kinda what ive done, i had the extra amps so i ran with it.

i have a 2011 kicker ZX650.4 brand new in the box hooked it up for 5 min and its in the original packaging

rated at 120x4 @ 4 ohms

160x4 @ 2 ohms

im looking to sell it as i have a DC 175.4 now

and like you said you dont wanna buy used unless its baiscally flawless and i can promise you it is

Appreciate the response guys. For awhile until I can get my doors glassed I will only be using 2 channels of the amp unless I bridge it. Later on I wanna run 2 sets (2 tweeters, 2 drivers) in each door and have them on their own channel. I'm gonna look around that dc is really catching my eye and so is the 200.4 there just so big and hard to fit in a truck but I'm sure I can figure something out. But keep the ideas coming and I'll check out some specs and reviews on that kicker

how much power per channel are you looking at and at what load.

I was looking at somewhere between 150-200 per channel i would prfer to just run 4 ohm since for awhile i will only be running one pair.

Hey quick update I was looking at the sundown 125.4 but my buddy has a brand new JL 600/4 the hd series. The thing is brand new as I was with him when he got it and he has had it sitting ever since. He is in a bind and needs some cash and said he would sell it for the same prIce as I can get a 125.4. I've never ran JL equipment so i don't know about it other then it's 175 watts a channel. Would y'all take the deal?
