Cardboardcat15
I really noticed it yesterday when I was washing my car, and I can't seem to get this shit off. I'm assuming it's caked on dirt or something. In some places where I rubbed real hard with just water and soap it came off after a while, but in other places it wont come off. Thanks for any and all help. Quote My Channel on YouTube. Ecco
I'd try paint lacquer. A pressure washer would prolly take off the paint. I wouldn't risk it. Otherwise, a LOT of elbow grease..

Perhaps. However, there are different pressure settings and distances.. Well, I still wouldn't risk it, since I don't know for sure haha
89boxchevy
i would try rubbing compound because if u aint careful with the laquer thinner or its a real weak thinner it may dull the paint Quote 89 Chevy Caprice (is under construction) dual alts 4/0 welding cable for wire red top under hood 3 yellow tops behind the front seat ( who needs a back seat anyways lol) big 3 of course Eclipse 3000 interiors are getting rebuilt now 2 crescendo bc2000 2 shocker sig 12s rebuild pics

First off, try claying the car. See if that takes it off. If not, I would start with the finest compound you can get. If it doesn't take it off, try going a little more coarse. BE CAREFUL! If you push too hard, use the wrong kind of rag, or work it in too much, it WILL burn through your clearcoat and you'll be effed. I recommend washing the car right before, then running the hose over the area you are working. I've found it works best if you make a 'slurry' of water and the compound. Also, if you're gonna do it by hand, more power to ya; I would get a buffer. I've never used a cheap one, but if you can, get a good one like a Porter Cable. You have to be a true moron to mess up paint with a PC. Oh, you could also try a wax and grease remover. See if that takes it off. Quote Too many projects, too little time... Cardboardcat15
Thanks for all the replies guys! I wish I had checked this thread earlier, I was just out running errands meh. I'll probably pick up some kind of rubbing compound tomorrow to get this stuff off. It's been on the car for as long as I've had it, so it'll probably take A LOT of elbow grease haha.
