Louisiana Bass
Eh, I'm getting packages from ups to keep me occupied in the mean time. Still gotta do the baffles, and trim panel. Got my sample pack from Second skin today, shipped Saturday. I gotta remember to thank Jon later. N8. No homo...unless you want there to be. Supercharged DCs
We both are man, even if the enclosure doesn't show it, we've put a ton of time into all this, and money as well (well it's alot of money for a 17yo lol). Hell, it took around 6months of saving to be able to afford the subwoofers And thanks for that explanation Ricky, the most obvious answer is normally right lol! Bassless once again. DudeWith4x4
I figured that. Just didnt know for sure. So it shouldn't mess up my mdf if I have my box resined good, right? Yep you should be all good man. -Ross Project Layla Truck: 99' F-150 Gathering things for my next build. Louisiana Bass
Lol I might put another coat of resin on the box before I do all that just to be sure I don't go through resin and possibly mess up the mdf N8. DudeWith4x4
The amount of water used shouldn't hurt lol. I just use a cup and keep dipping the sand paper in it. Like some one said before it would be better if you had a Orbital sander. I use a Dual action air-powered sander most of the time. I use 80, 180, 320 and then primer. After primer is fully dryed I used 320 on any runs and then 400, 800, 1000. When sanding make sure you leave it a little above where you want when finished because when your switching to smoother grits your goal is to get the sanding scratchs from the harsher grits out. If you have any questions just ask. I may not be a pro but I took 2 years of autobody classes in highschool and going to college for it this year. Edit: When hang sanding, try not to use the tips of your fingers but the flatest part of your hand or you will put ridges from your fingers pushing more. Always sand in Diagonal motions, Not in straight lines. -Ross Project Layla Truck: 99' F-150 Gathering things for my next build. Supercharged DCs
Great info, thanks man. Never sanded anything before, so every bit of advice helps. I'll probably pm you when it comes time to prep and paint the baffle Bassless once again.
