there is no such thing as too low, the tuning is decided by the thiele small parameters, all subs are different. thats like saying that tuning an 8" below 40 hz is too low. it all depends on the drivers.

that being said, i dont know why anyone runs Fi, their T/S specs are so terrible, DC subs are better in EVERY way (t/s wide), and im not a bandwagoneer, i havent even touched a DC sub.

This is going into a 96 s10, if that matters for tuning, and I'm having trouble gettin 90 sq of port without having a tuning around 43~44

My ported dimensions I'm trying right now are 15x39x22

Any help for port Ray?

Yeah, yes I do. I have width but what about depth? I'd like to be able to see into the box from the cab without a 18 inch long port.

I'm just not too experienced with tuning and help would be awesome.

Dont let your life be decided by bbp6

A 3db bump at 30 is sweet.

So 3ported with how much vent?

Alot about a 4th order is making sure you can output enough of the sound through the vent.

Ive built boxes at 1:1 and smaller

I know the difference with in car resp

Trust me when i say you will never change my pov.

I let real world data tell me what works better, and i have tons of it.

Do 1:1 boxes sound good?? Yes. But their usually are 6db down from where it could be.

And i dont need 50hz bandwidth

30 is plenty for me

Btw, i use bbp6 also

Id love to see the vv on your box vs. My box

And cd also

I plotted both boxes.

My vent is a little long, yours is tiny

Our f3 points down low are pretty much the same

Yours plays up to 62 mine cuts at 47

Mines louder at 30

Yours is louder at 52

Louder being 1.5db difference

On the graph they look the same at 40

But i know for a fact that in car resp will boost my box from 45 down, which would make it seem like its not flat but in fact it only plays from 50 down.

So a boost within its band is a good thing
