You'll have plenty of room to upgrade later on, you can put the Lv 5 through hell and back, and you won't have to worry about a dumbass friend cranking your system to the max because they want it louder. or the cops lol.. one time my brother got stopped for bumping his system and the cops put him in the back of the cop car and opened his trunk and put the volume all the way up. i think they were trying to blow his subs, but they didnt lol.. And your friend shouldn't be able to turn it up to damaging level if your gains are set right unless they fuck with your amp. Shit, I ripped my XL 10's apart on less than rated power. XL's are great subs, don't get me wrong, but you cannot go wrong with any amount of power or abuse with the 5's. I wouldn't run two Yellotops and a stock alternator to support the BC3500, but that would be alright with the Aq2200d. And don't count on your alternator failing, what kind of plan is that? You won't need to upgrade your stock alt for the Aq2200, but for the BC3500 me thinks you'll need an HO Alt, and them bitches Cost more money than an Asian Hooker in Chinatown! what size yellow tops should i look at? I had my gain set to clip at 21/52(?) because it would distort when turned past 21. My brother cranked it to 30 and clipped the shit out of my DD3515 for about 3 seconds before I turned it down.
