jugernot Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I have heard two different thoughts on speaker direction. The two arguments I have heard are; 1. The speakers should be pointed towards the passengers of the vehicle 2. The speakers should be pointed towards each other ( drivers side speaker pointed towards the passenger side speakers) Can someone clear this up for me? Which direction should the speakers face? Thanks
corey0928 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 If they are pointed towards the passengers then theoretically they should be louder to that person I think
RXdriver11 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Very subjective question, could vary by car. What kinda car is it? Some cars get better responce with kick panels, some with door speakers facing eachother. Tell what kinda car and the guys on here who have a lot of experience with that car can give you valid input. Other wise you will have to install and play around with it. Rebuild Log with the SMD CURRENT.. I'm planning on making some fiberglass door panels and wanted to put the speaker components in the doors. I also wanted to put one 10 inch woofer in the middle behind the seats. The floor pan, firewall, inner doors and rear cab have been lined with sound deadener.
Ray Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Holy shit thats one old azz truck. In an old tin can like those trucks, just give them a slight angle towards the opposing seat position. I hope you loaded it with deadner 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz

Bakerman Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Bro, i'd aim the speakers towards the opposing seat. Passenger side aiming towards driver, and drivers side aiming towards passenger. Thats just how I do it.
