Keep building and you will get there eventually. It may take a while though. I just heard 150 db for the first time and it is insane. I am starting a wall build next month and I am shooting for 145's. (4 dayton 18's sealed on 1500 watts) 150 db is like a unicorn to me. I won't believe I can build something that loud till it's done. :)

I would say; try to maximize what you have and see if that output makes you happy. You will want to upgrade (of course) but that practice building enclosures and tuning will help you a ton when you have the money to get some serious hardware. Someone said a budget is irrelavant and you should do whatever it takes and they are right. If you have to save for a few months to get a serious amp or pair of subs, then thats what you do. I'm in the same boat. I only budget 250 a month for my stereo addiction.

Let me run you through what I mean...

Two batteries hc 2400 $600

Amplifier $4-600

2 more subs $300

Materials (wood, fiberglass, 2x2, 2x4, everything else) $3-500

Alt Upgrade $200

2nd run of 0 gauge

Noob to noob thats what it's going to take for me. I've already spent this much to bring the stereo to where it is now. So with some simple math you can see how long (months) it is going to take for me to complete mine. The worst part is that it is all necessary. I want to be able to play it all day with no issues.

Take the time to collect equipment, research, and do whatever it takes to hit 150. That's the best advice I could give.

2005 Ford Focus zx4

AMT's and Planars

18" Infinite baffle

when someone who has been there gives you advice dont try to talk over them, take the advice and shut the fuck up. you really have a mind set at doing something almost impossible with 0 experience... goals are not achieved by saying IM GOING TO BECOME A STAR TOMORROW. you have to start at the bottom so when you achieve that 145 work on the other 5 db after
