I wouldn't chance more than 2.5k though, it's possible to go higher, but be prepared for the possibility of needing a redone. N8. No homo...unless you want there to be. mlstrass Posted July 8, 2011 Report Share Posted July 8, 2011 copper coil should be fine on a 2kw amp for daily, assuming you won't drive around full tilt for hours and you can keep a clean signal to it... So long as the sub will reach mechanical limits before thermal limits, then all you need to do is make sure you're not tearing the sub apart physically.
