Part I am interested in finding a permanent repair for. But really, in all seriousness, id get a reinforced metal hinge or something...otherwise, im not sure how you would fix it as those simply wont take the abuse. That being said, I could see that bitch tearing your roof too...hrmmm.
Freshman6969 Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 id say silicone, seeing as it will streach a bit, but that wont solve your problem :/ my jeep has steel hinges try something liek that Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! My woman's hinge snapped off in the middle of winter and the replacement hinge was metal, they realized plastic was a bad idea. She has a ford escape though.
