Jared420
I just got a recone back from dc on one of my level 3 with level 4 softparts 10's 2 weeks ago. They are in a downfire box in my truck so today i lifted the box to watch the subs in action for a minute and I noticed the one I just got back is making a slight tapping noise, so I pulled the subs out of the box and found the stitching that holds the coil leads to the spider I believe? have ripped apart. the leads are slapping up against the back of the cone. i think 2 out of the 4 are. What would cause this? the other sub is 100% fine. the leads are stitched tight in there. The coils are not burnt or charred at all the stitching has just broken on 2 of the 4 leads. Is this user error somehow or possibly a bad recone? Is this user error somehow or possibly a bad recone? How did you set your gain? Most likely cause is because of a cooling issue, or you're clipping. The leads heat up and melt through the stitching that holds them to the spider. Quote Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Jared420
Will it damage the leads to play the subs? armykyle1
looks like bad build quality. I think you can just glue them down so you dont end up breaking the leads Quote TEAM XS POWERTEAM HEAVY HERTZMy build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194454-e46-bmw-build-pos/#entry2914134youtube- http://www.youtube.com/user/armykyle1big build starting
