DD guys come inside. Box design time

Recommended Posts

DD's have been known to need lots of space and port but the boxes they are putting out now are a lot smaller than they use to recommend. I have herd 9518s in 8 cubes net sound great. Tuning was a bit high for me. Also with around 17 of port per cube if that helps. I'm no expert but this is what Ive seen.

Why would you EVER WANT flex?
huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct?

If at all possible, since your doing a wall, I'd do a changable port. Being able to tweak the tuning and airspace would be great, IMO. 4.25 is a little smaller than I'd do, but you do have 4 of them. Same goes for the port. I like 17.5 minimum on 95's. But, things get wierd when you have lots of port (over 200sq)

this is the part that sucks so much conflicting info

i came up with something last night that will give me 17.25 with 296 sq inches of port. Im going with that.
