JL w6v2 Series? JL w7 Series? Fi Q Series? I've heard that all of these are supposed to have good sq, but do they really? About my music preference: I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop / Rap, and some Rock. I am looking for great sound quailty, but I also want a lot of punch to the bass as well.

If you use a WalMart sub, it will never sound good. However, even a novice could make a great sub sound better. So it does sort of depend on the sub.
