skyhighcaraudio Posted July 13, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 So I started trying to figure out how to hold this box down once its actually in my truck so i dont end up a pancake if i ever get in a bad accident... Heres what i came up with.. I used 4x6 wood and extended the factory seat bolts..then bolting this bracing to the extended seat bolts Had to put some fur on there lol The box will then be bolted (using lag bolts) into the 4x6s to hopefully hold it there just in case. Heres the HU in the console to make room for the ipad thats in the process of going into the dash bezel The racing seats right after i switched the console out from the jump seat style one You can kinda see my old lvl 5 box between the seats The amps and amp rack etc I know the batteries are sub par at best. It doesnt use the seat bolt holes...what i did was get union nuts to connect to the factory seat bolts then connect another bolt to that to extend it, tighten it as tight as i could get it, cut the head off the bolt, then recess a washer and nut into the wood so i would put the flat top piece on the supports.
