The HDC3's are nice ass woofers dave...Check out Sanitarium's build... He has 4 18's in a blowthrough on Less than 5K Rms doing a 151 @ like 26hz

That's off 800RMS @ 2ohm nuff said.. 27hz 6.7cft daily thats an 18" though, I also agree I don't like the sound quality that much.

I can also chime in a little, as all the hdc3 subwoofers have the same power ratings, so im going to assume they will all take the power the same, but i could be wrong, but if the 12 inch hdc3 can soak up the power like one of my 18s can, wow, i have a aq 3500d.1 running at half ohm with plenty of electrical to back it up, and i personally think my copper coiled 18s could handle a aq 3500d.1 each, ive beat the living shit out of my subs, im talking bigpimpins version of get silly, bass dropping like crazy full tilt, and that song is around 7-8 minutes i believe, they just laugh at it. I've only smelt the coils once on bass ballin slowed hitting low notes, one being 21 hz, with the clipping light blinking rapidly, but not solid, just wanted to see wut it would do.........thats my .02 04ex18
